None of us get that anymore, it seems to have been disabled. If enabled in your UCP, you get an email when you've been quoted.

Or a nice spinning image of whichever ship that particular commander is flying. How very jobsian!

Re: Halloween Witch OXP (was: NPC ship attack using missiles)

Seeing as Halloween approaches, does anyone have a working copy of this OXP?

Windows is in-game alphabetical, and I name my various (mostly forked) saves according to what they're doing or where they are.

Re: F6 chart stuff...

Ah yes, passing through hostiles is definitely a factor to consider. That... and the fact it's two less witchpoints with their waiting assassins to be negotiated. Plus, at the end of a long run like that (40 jumps), hounded by assassins all the way, my ship may well need a maintenance overhaul and ...

Re: F6 chart stuff...

Consider a section of a cross-chart parcel delivery route (Ceerti to Gexean), where a hefty five-figure bonus could be had for early delivery. Right across the seventh, you'd use the quickest route, but for the Mamaanat to Usleance section, it makes sense to switch to the shortest, most direct, rout...

The "good ones" (trusting your assessment) There's a lot of deadwood at Westminster, especially in the House of Toffs, but David was well-liked in this constituency (and elsewhere) because he listened and got things done. If there were more like him (and Jo Cox), Westminster would be the ...

I love the smell of Trig in the morning! When running against the clock, one would almost always take the quickest route, but there are some occasions when fuel plays a part in the calculation, and the slower direct route is preferable. Trig is also the key to backdoor routes, of course!

Conservative MP Sir David Amess has died after being stabbed at his constituency surgery in Essex. A very sad day! He was my constituency MP, and regardless of one's politics and religion, he was a hard-working MP who was always accessible to his constituents, a gentleman, and a champion of animal ...

<chortles> How did you dig that old thread up, Cholly? I clearly mis-remembered the details, but it was a long time ago! I caused Kaks, and later kanthoney, some headaches with chart stuff over the years - but they always came through! Oh, I think I prefer Square. Any legend you like, amigo! <wander...

Re: Galactic Chart - what's the icon?

1) Enter another planet's name (or even just one letter), then re-select your target system.
2) If memory serves, it was unintentional, during an upgrade, and was before cim's time.

As I said, I seemed to be the only one using it.

Ah, I see! I've not really used it, and I believe it was still a WIP. I'll check it out later.
