Re: Updating Thargoid gates

none of the subentities have any moving parts, they just fit together so i guess it is straight forward, i just dont want it to assemble wrong in the game and be confusing. i used a different method than the originals to create them and they have to be divided into parts, but my question is, can i e...

Updating Thargoid gates

OK, i know i have been guilty of thread necromancy about this before, and maybe it has not gotten noticed due to it being an older thread. I have chosen this OXP first because it is the most ready to complete. the models and textures are done, all the way. texture variants can be added later. The is...

Re: Thargoid's OXZ Adoption Thread

I know this is a little bit of thread necromancy, but i really need to know who would like to help update thargoid gates with me. the models and textures are complete. just need soeone to help do scripts and get them compatible with the newest flavors of the game. If the textures are not to anyones ...

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Of course this addition is too easy really.

Legion, in comics and the marvel tv series (i kind of have a thing for the 60's stylism portrayed in the series, lady androids with moustaches just fits the 60s) oh yeah and that oriental basket head mystery man.

Re: Extracts from the Tre Clan Addresses on Interplanetary Life

i like good reads. just finished between the devil and black space (i think?) it was a pretty good book of short stories. sure it focused on INRA, but i liked how the various threads tied together. definitely will be looking into this (crack open the oxz)

Re: JB WIP thread: several ships

ok, short update. i finally got dropbox set up, amidst a bunch of other software and hardware issues. I had to set up camera surveillance on my place to prevent theift, which is a reason for me to move soon. Once i have one of the model upgrades finished and textured to completion, it will be upload...

Re: Is it just me, or?

I was typing a huge reply, and then for some reason, it all disappeared (ahh the dreaded touchpad bug) so i have to start all over again. Anyway...... people often misattribute this quote, but it was not started by albert einstein, it is actually straight out of the text of Alcoholics anonymous, and...

Re: Is it just me, or?

That won't work as long as we share the air we're breathing and water we're drinking. And I believe we do not need some central authority to tell us what is right or wrong but a way to make decisions about matters that affect everyone. The system of government we have today in most modern countries...

Is it just me, or?

I try to make it a rule not to watch the news much, except for every once in a while keep up with the geopolitical goings on in the world, and even more important, i really hate getting into political debates in forums, chat, etc, because i tend to be apolitical (part of my own personal philosophy t...

Cyberpunk anyone?

As a huge fan of cyberpunk in general, like Shadowrun (the pen and paper version first, then the video games) and various films (like the grand-daddy of them all Blade Runner) i am happy to see this creation from the makers of The witcher:

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

ok what kind of editor would i need to do that correctly? I have Vim, which is supposed to handle java scripts. I am not sure if the built in text editor can handle it correctly. (or maybe it can? i seem to remember opening something and having the lines actually numbered before) I made the edit so ...

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

is there any way to just do that by OXP instead of a major game change? i for one am ok with the current planet scale, however i do like some of the new screens from the 1.87 development version. really good looking effects. some of the best i have seen in a game. those viper trails really pop. not ...

Re: Music Thread!

synthwave yes, but not so much the soundtrack for outrun, too "japanese happy" for me. (reminds me of some of the scenes in FF7 in town). miami sound machine yes. vangelis yes. m83 yes. even some of the tracks from mass effect fit pretty well. x3 soundtrack, quite a few there are pretty epic (even t...

Re: Music Thread!

yeah, i really like those, very tangerine dream, but i also like 80s style synth stuff anyway, like the whole Drive soundtrack. One of my favorites is the 80s latino electronica. Its probably all over the place by now but Astro is a pretty good Chilean band that has a good rythm and pretty good lyri...
