Re: SW Economy
Sorry - only just worked it out - this would require Blooomberg Markets to pick up on the existence of medicine, oxygen & water as new commodities, no? Would it need an SW version of Blooomberg, or could it be done just with modifying what is currently there? Looking at BlOomberg Markets. It uses t...

Re: Species: Lobstoids, Amphiboids, Reptiles etc.
So conventional evolutionary history (IIRC) would have it the the groups appeared (on Earth) in this order: Arthropods (crustaceans/lobsters first, then insects) Amphibians (frogs) Lizards Birds Mammals (rodents then felines) Humanoids (various human ancestors) Humans Just my five сopecks (Copeck i...

Re: SW Economy
Market Cooldown is really nice OXP, based on very smart idea. I like it! But Market Cooldown has critical drawback. It uses sum of distances to witchpoint and system sun to generate unique key for every system port. Works fine for static Ooniverse, but it will not work for (pseudo)dynamic Planetary ...

Re: SW Economy
Mind you, I ended up taking out the news services from my SW Ooniverse - if I don't know where the various worlds are, how on earth can I be getting news about what goes on there?! But then SW Economy does not seem to need the rest of the SW suite of .oxp's installed. News services works well in va...

Re: SW Economy
We have already system descriptions like "This system is cursed by deadly disease / deadly civil war" indeed, so the next logical step will be to affect price for medicine, firearms, maybe for some other items in special cases. It can be logical to have increased demand for medicine in these systems...

Re: Fun star map
But I'm wondering if (i) maps could be generated randomly to encourage discovery (and then .oxp's could be generated to enhance this) Right. You can generate procedural maps and some of these maps will have interesting topology. Imagine three separated domains, connected with only narrow star bridg...

Re: SW Economy
Can I just ask: if there is a medical emergency announced on GNN or Snoopers - does this reflect in the medicine prices either where I am (less likely) or at the affected spots? Honestly, I have no idea how Snoopers handles economic events. It will be good to include broadcast messages dealing with...

SW Economy Actual version - SW Economy 3.8.0 Uploaded 16.01.2021 This OXP gives additional flavor to Oolite economy. Redefined system economy profiles First, this OXP changes canonic descriptor of system economy. Vanilla descriptions seems controversial. Why Poor Agricultural system market have mor...

Re: Fun star map
Is it very difficult to change the game maps? Then we really could explore for real! Not difficult technically - you can change system coordinates, names, descriptions etc in planetinfo.plist. Just laborious. IMHO the most challenging part of work is to redefine system populator, AIs, ships, equipm...

Leesti is Moon 0.3.0 and Leesti is Moon LSM 0.3.0 uploaded. Original van Vliet's diffuse map in these updates was replaced to diffuse map from CGI Moon Kit by NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio. This diffuse map has only color information, not shadows. Polar distortions on van Vliet's normal ma...

Re: Which tool for tweaking OXZ files for iMac?
TextEdit has two output formats - RTF (by default) and plain text. Switch to plain text to edit code - it will be new default settings for all files opened by TextEdit . Plain text has no any hidden characters and safe to modify code. TextEdit is a good simple general-purpose editor, but it has no ...

Re: Leesti is Moon 8k
@another_commander Thank you for info! There are no 8192x4096 px resolution displacement map on NASA CGI Moon Kit page. Is it right to rescale 23040x11520 px file first and than convert it to normal map as second step? And what original file will be more suitable - float or uint? Seems that floating...
