You can change the external views, but you have to alter the code of the game itself. Don't worry, it's not that hard. The way you get into the game depends on which computer you are playing on. What follows here is an instruction for Mac. Windows or Linux should be different. I had the same feeling...

First of all, sorry for your problem!

There seems to be an issue with your screen resolution in the beginning of your log-file. Not sure if that could cause any trouble.

I'm not so sure about that, especially the asteroid part. But, anyway, it's fun.

Blow'em up!

Ok, I should have said: SCOOPED cargo does not affect your legal status. Also selling it does you no harm. Only buying illegal items at the station makes you fugitive (offender after jumping) and scooped illegal items make you offender after jumping. Now clear? @ rollen: No, after you have sold your...

That's true. But still, even with a max'd out Imperial Courier, way more than a million credits in the bank and above 8000 kills it's nice to make profit. And to continue playing. Because I never thought of being ELITE as finishing the game. That's the nice thing about the open-end-structure. There ...

IIRC the maximum price you can get for alien items is just below 70 cr, Well it's quite a bit more than that, I always hang on to alien items untill I get to Hoopys. Ok, I haven't installed Hoopy, so I'm depending on the prices in the usual stations. But still, as long as you hang on to anything in...

Cargo does NOT affect your legal status unless you leave the system. So you can sell any illegal cargo that you have scooped in your present system (main station or any dockable ship/rock hermit) and make a good profit. Only if you leave the main station again having illegal cargo on board your lega...

http://aegidian.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2919 should be deleted, I think. I'm not sure about this one: http://aegidian.org/bb/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=1518 and http://aegidian.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2933, but it doesn't seem to be a real user. BTW: Why isn't this a sticky anymore, but a topic? I...

They count as alien items when scooped, and can be twice as valuable as the bounty. I guess it depends on whether you want kills or cash. Actually no. IIRC the maximum price you can get for alien items is just below 70 cr, which is far from twice as valuable. And there is also a good chance that yo...

I found it a good strategy for making profit to stay in each system for a while. So after you arrived at the station and unloaded your cargo, don't take new cargo, but launch again and go hunting for pirates. Then you can scoop their cargo until your cargo bay is full again (or there are no pirates ...

Yes, of course I was referring to the Mac, cause the question was about the Mac.

It's definitely 9 on the Mac, which is definitely a strange bug, because according to the keymapping it should be TAB (key with code 9, not key 9).

And your first encounter with two Thargoid Carriers, surrounded by Thorgon Battleships etc really lets you appreciate the Q-bomb. I mean, it's also the only occasion where it is worthwile, financially speaking.
