How's about an 'emergency' witchspace jump that takes no time, but you have no control over which nearby system you land in, which could put you in deeper doodoo or safe?

Regarding the "jet-cycle", while i love the model... i´m amazed you would be able to fit some sort of sheild device to protect him from the hazards of re-entering the athmosphere. Yeah, I understand the importance of gameplay and so everything I want will have player 'copability' or sufficient warning to anyone paying attention (as in the fake station ploy). Ok, got all my models finished and textured. Just a small problem with the dock location to fix. I think its just a negative cordinate in the wrong place, but we'll see.

Going to aim for one per galaxy.

Make about a dozen families and their relationship (hostile, friendly, subservient. neutral) to each other. Maybe, to save yourself some time have, 3 or four ships in common and one unique ship per family.

You need the texture to be in the same folder as the model.

Worst comes to worst, delete the material and the texture options in the outliner and start again, it only takes a moment.

You can go up to 375 surfaces and 580 vertices (assuming nontessulated) in wings (if you go to the 500/800 limit, the model won't work as the dat conversion triangulates automatically adding faces and verts). Ack! Due to a mishap in the saving process, my texture is now a BMP file. I found no option to make the External... version anything but an (apparently required) .bmp! Can I change it back, or anything? Dry Dock opens it fine. don't panic, make it internal again and then external again and save it ...
