Ease of docking can vary with the ship you're flying. If it is fast and twitchy, it can be hell. I know I tried to dock one of my 'Scoundrels' and had to run at it three times before I could do it.

With Joinable Pirate Clans i intend it so that you can be attacked by mass pirates even if you are in a safe system (if you are unlucky), while possible being barred from docking at stations therein.

Nice work. Always save at stages of happiness. Blender saves uniquely everytime, if I recall, so add an 'h'for happiness and then experiment. Render often to see if you have face over lap (looks like static). If you want to design something unique, try to look around your house for different things....

Just read through this. Sounds like fun. Some thoughts, Maybe 1-5 planets would cut down the systemwork? Interesting planetary textures can be made with the hot wax feature in PSP (maybe Photoshop??). How about a star trek beam if you can't auto dock. I can imagine my enthusiasm dropping like a Zaon...
