Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Uprising as in rebellion (which in this case lasted eight years) - and the aforementioned album was nominated for a Hugo Award.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

East Africa, yes. As for Hot Gossip, I saw them live once - and they were hot!

But that ain't the song I'm looking for. The key is the name of the uprising.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Perhaps I should capitalise the EAR - that should put you in the right part of Africa.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

<grins> Would the ear narrow it down a bit?

Clue the second: the musical link is a song title, which leads to an album, which in turn leads to one of Heinlein's classics.

... which I'd guess may be what you're looking for.
Nope!

Clue the first: It's a musical link, and the former British colony is in Africa.

Re the Boeing Starliner, a commentard joked:
The hardest part about docking computer fabrication is building one that can both dock and play the Blue Danube simultaneously.

Mines the one with a Cobra in the pocket.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Apart from helping to solve the ultimate question, does base 13 have any practical use? Anyway...

What links Robert Heinlein to an uprising in what was then a British colony?

... just not in the published books..
Aye, that particular page in the second novel looks kinda odd without that line.
When I got my paperback out to check, I discovered it's falling apart! <sobs>

re the quote - I think it was in the original radio version but not the books.
<nods> If it's anywhere, it'll be in the original radio scripts.

Here you go, spud (at 55:52).

Re: Morrigan - force a for sale script possible?

To my admittedly inexpert eye, that shipyard.plist looks fine - and it works fine too! Which text editor are you using?

Try my shipyard.plist copy here - just download it, drop it in and overwrite your shipyard.plist

I don't know how to upload shipyard.plist. So I inserted it here with crtl + c:
<nods>That's how we do it. Tip: if you highlight the code, then hit the Code button (</>) it becomes clearer, thus:

Code: Select all

techlevel = 15
chance = 0.90

Sweet! Now throw Svengali's hyperspace and docking-tunnel effects into Core, and call it Oolite 2.0?
