Aha. Well, that makes reasonable sense. Thanks for the clarification. That just leaves the bounty hunters question and the generation ship question. Still, I should not complain. For the game is a great achievement, which I enjoy for free! And there are pleasant people who answer one's queries-cum-g...

(1) I thought Random Hits already had an accidental fire detection system, or something. Perhaps I misremember. (2) As to someone in the safety zone been shot by someone outside it, etc.: why not just have it so it is a crime to shoot any craft (or non-fugitive craft) when it is inside the zone (irr...

Something that may be a small bug
I was in witchspace after a deliberate misjump, dropped a Q-mine and became a 'fugitive', pulled another deliberate misjump and there, amongst the Thargons and the Navy, were bounty hunters! That seems a bit odd. While I am at it: the misjumps seem *too* easy to pull; the Navy *always* is there with...

Safety zone as no-fire zone
Dear all How about making it an offence (in Galcop's eyes) to fire on *any* ship - except perhaps a 'fugitive' - within the safety zone? Also, for lesser offences, or for attacks that could be seen as accidents, how about warnings from the police? (I know there are warnings already; but they are not...

PS: Did nothing become of the idea of being somewhere able to buy some sort of trumble-removal kit? If so, that's a shame (especially given the OXP problem with the other removal method - the other removal method just mentioned). Perhaps Hacker Outposts, or Rock Hermits, or planets (as against stati...

Serious mouse control problem
Dear all Firstly I'd like to say that I appreciate the game and, thus, all the work that people here have done on it. Now: ever since version 1.72 (I think it was - I am now on 1.73.3, and I have tried all the 'trunk' versions to date) my mouse cannot control my ship properly. For it will not move t...
