Re: Some advice, Illegal wares...

Your best approach is probably: 1) Find a system with lots of cheap Narcotics. Buy them and launch. This will get you instant Offender or maybe Fugitive status, so leave quickly. You can buy them from non-main station OXP stations and launch without getting tagged Offender or Fugitive (OXPs can cha...

Re: How to pronounce Oolite?

I thought that oolite (the rock) was pronounced o-o-light? According to my Oxford English Dictionary, it is oh-a-lyt where "oh" is as in "no" and "a" is as in "ago" and the "y" is as in "my" I had a US lecturer at Uni who pronounced it that way with 2 very definite syllables in oo, but my original ...

Re: THANKS

It is the Cambrian period. Called after the latin name of Welsh, probably because the layers from this time surfaces in Welsh. The whole of Welsh 'land' (ocean floor) masses were at that time situated near the southpole. The welsh empire still had to be formed. And the first really interesti...

Re: How to pronounce Oolite?

Its oo-light for me too, but that is probably due to me first coming across the word in it's geological context in school, well before Oolite the game existed, and that pronunciation has stuck. For some reason I found the word strangely attractive back then. On a slightly different note do folk thin...

Re: [TEST-RELEASE Trunk Only] - Respray for Griffs 0.3 16/06

Since this is a trunk-only OXP (and since this same issue has been bothering me for New Cargoes), it might be more useful if I added an initialChoiceKey option to mission.runScreen, to which you could pass the key of the previously-selected choice to have the next mission screen start with that one...

And if you are at it... mouse coords exposed to JS... and a small clicky handler...? I could this with that.... Oo, any maybe on the 'adjust first/second paint colour' screen, is there a way to temporarily highlight that paint map on the model as the player scrolls through the o...

Re: [TEST-RELEASE Trunk Only] - Respray for Griffs 0.3 16/06

Is there any way to remember the last adjusted colour component and return to that one after each adjustment? at the moment it always goes back to the 'Increase Red Component' which can make adjusting the blue or green fiddly if you don't keep an eye on what you're doing. I should be able to implem...

Re: Requesting assistance

As a potential control method for ships to ship comms how about 'nested' N key activated equipment. Activating the main equipment item (called Show Comms Options or similar) would 1) Temporarily remove other N key activated equipment and itself. 2) Install a whole set of Shift N/N equipment items gi...
