ah I think that's just an oxp version of the ship for the game, I've forgotten to put all the model obj files and various source texture bits and pieces for it onto box, but if you're able to see that file cody then maybe i'm back in box.net's good books and they've un-broken my free account with th...

Amazing work on your ship models and textures jackiebean, :D The gallery in your other thread is absolutely fantastic, really great stuff! Fantastic work on all the new planet stuff guys! really exciting seeing all these latest screenshots, the night-time city lights look great, hope they can make it into the game one day although i understand its probably quite an intensive effect to do, best of luck with the coding :D

these look great! really fantastic design and paint work. I love the design on the orange one, at first glance it looks a bit like a crafty pirate has painted their ship to look like a smaller one, a sidewinder or something :lol:

if the rings just suddenly pop out of existance at long distance, would it help to start 'fading' them out by mixing in more and more black into their display colour the further the player is from them, sort of like how the stations now fade out when viewed from really close to the planet surface

i *think* that's working, i'm not sure if the different planets have different atmosphere thicknesses or not (i've only tested at Lave and Zaonce) but the effect only really kicks in when the altitude bar is right down to the last 3 or 4 'segments' edit: unless it's only implemented in trunk? i've o...

Sorry about the renaming mess up guys, i totally wasn't thinking. Previously the stations main shipdata.plist keys were named after one of the sub entites that made up the station (the eg the 'faceplate' or something like that), when i merged most of these subentites into one main object and a seper...

I've just uploaded a small shader related update to the station bundle, bringing it up to v1.3 "v1.3 - Some small .fragment shader changes (added atmospheric fogging and a new lighting model as seen in the default Oolite shader).
