The Behemoth Docking issue..

Post by Rxke »

buried in another thread, so a short recap: sometimes the auto-docking w/ Behemoths doesn't work, esp. after battles. Giles asked to do an AI dump (press P to pause, then 0 (zero)) so here goes:

Code: Select all

Well, here it seems SuperCobra 256 is docking with the Behemoth, while everyone else is waiting for docking clearance - remind me of the bug, what was going on from the player's POV?

Nothing, No messages at all, just slowing down to 0... Normally it says something about a cue etc...
And those supercobra's are Fugitives, so normally they should be denied auto-dock :?

AHA!

I think I might espy where there may be a bug in the docking code. then.

On a related not then, maybe...

I've seen SC's (also Fugitives) approach a station, and then after a while.... Go 'braindead'
Could that be because the docking sequence is somehow doing something weird, and they just... Sit there?

Exactly that. I guess I need to write an alternative 'fugitive-on-manual' docking routine. In the meantime they may be causing the docking system to get blocked for others.
