DSE Wyvern - Test Flight

Here is the Dark Sky Enterprises Wyvern ship series. There is the Standard version (DSE-S) and the Uber version (DSE-U). These are not the final versions, obviously, and they do not yet contain the Dark Sky Horizon mission.

Both .zip files contain two versions of the .oxp. The "ST" and "UT" versions are specially modified "test" versions. The shipyard.plist and and shipdata.plist files are modified to ensure that all five Wyverns appear in each and every system, and in every shipyard TL 10 and up.

There are also two save-files to aid in testing. Both come with around 9 mil creds, and have the player docked on Zaonce. The Zaonce Start version has a clean record, for testing the White Wyvern (clean record required). The Zaonce Start Fugitive version is for testing the Black Wyvern (fugitive status required).

I need testers. Anyone interested?

Hi,
Tried both the provided save games.
Spent most time with the Black - noticed that although you are a Fugitive to start one good jump and you are back clean, but still in command of the Black is this as intended?
Used the Tionsla Reporter OXP as a test, so jumped around a bit and killed some Zargons - completed mission easily of course with such a uber ship.
Flies well - I am a keyboard player by the way.
Was able to buy Red, Blue and White wyverns and nothing caused any problems - no errors in the logs.
All of this is using Ollite Trunk 4579 and the following list of OXPs.

Just FYI - you've accidentally moved your railgun OXP folder inside the energy equipment one...

Thanks for that - there are a couple of others as well, due to not being that careful with drag and drop in XP - DOH!

Awesome, Ironfist. Yeah, I do not know why the legal status doesn't stick. That's probably because I hand-tweaked the save file on that one. In save files where the legal status was raised through actual game play, it should stay in place. I don't have any scripts or anything to change it.

Bounty in vanilla Oolite should 1/2 with each jump. Ironfist has Anarchies installed though which should IIRC reduce the rate that it falls.

DF - if your mission scripting involves making the status stick for Black Wyvern pilots (will the player get to fly the Black Wyvern?) - you'll need to make sure it doesn't conflict with Anarchies.

Scaly Skin

Smashing ships!! I've taken the liberty of replacing the skins of the Wyverns on my machine with a nice scaly textured one.

AWESOME! That would make a perfect primary skin, actually! I'll be packing it in the OXP, and the final version will give you the credit you are CERTAINLY due.
