How to convey the impact of humans on Climate Change

Post by Diziet Sma » Sun Aug 18, 2013 7:58 am

Ever wondered what would be a good visual to convey the extent of the problem?

Wonder no more..

The heat we are adding to our lovely blue marble in space is equivalent to four Hiroshima bombs per second.

That's 345,600 nukes a day.. the only reason we haven't fried already is that 90% of that heat goes into the oceans and polar ice.

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
