As an England supporter, one who was there at Wembley for three of their matches in '66, last night's result was almost a blessing.
The media frenzy had already become intolerable - if they'd made it to the final, the media would've gone batshit flippin' crazy!

Never been a fan myself.
I cannot but feel for the British fans out there. They always impressed me as better trained than their team in the field, the audience in the stadiums reacting loudly, and very promptly to the game events.
Half-mast after semifinals, wish you celebration beers for at least the 3rd position!

England coach Gareth Southgate has been named on an 11-man shortlist for the Best Fifa Men's Coach award for 2018.
Good grief!
